Frankfurt - Scheduled Work on the Power Supply

Status: Planned

Start: 14.09.2026 08:00  –  End: 28.09.2026 08:00

Description
Following the takeover of the new data center in Frankfurt, we are planning a major investment in our power supply and an expansion of our liquid cooling capacity. Unfortunately, this requires a temporary interruption of both power feeds simultaneously for a short time. While our dual-feed architecture normally ensures full redundancy, shutting down both feeds is strictly necessary for this upgrade. Each feed will need to be disconnected for up to 12 hours. We have scheduled the work sequentially so that only one building is affected at a time. We will share the detailed schedule and affected systems as soon as the external maintenance team finalizes the plan. Our team is available to discuss any potential impact on your critical systems. Customers with an active SLA will be live-migrated to alternative infrastructure and will not experience any downtime during this maintenance.
Update

We now have more detailed information on when maintenance work will be performed on the power grid for the cloud instances: Maintenance on Power Feed A for the cloud instances: September 17, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. UTC Maintenance on power feed B for the cloud instances: September 24, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. UTC All other dates for colocation, dedicated servers, and SLA customers will be communicated separately via email to affected customers, as there are significantly more details and phases involved in the maintenance work for those services. We have been able to reschedule with the maintenance contractor so that we will always have one feed online to ensure power supply; however, issues may still arise, so we cannot guarantee availability during the specified time period.
